You know that person that is really annoying and says they like every type of music whenever you ask? Yeah. That’s me.
I can dance awkwardly to just about any song and have a good time (it’s one of the pros of not knowing how to stay on beat).
It’s because of this laissez-faire attitude towards music that I find myself getting stuck in a circle of listening to the same song, album, or top pop 50s playlist on repeat.
Which is where my best friend makes her entrance.
A music lover to her core, Haley curates her own playlists every two months so that she can go back and see the music she loved during different times in her life. Her October/ November playlist is full of some of her favorite bands and artists from all sorts of genres. When I asked her to describe it for me, she said:
“My October/ November playlist has a lot of casual songs that carry a lighthearted tone with a gritty alternative twist. A lot of upbeat, yet subdued sounds to transition from the vibrancy of summer to the more intimate fall experience. When I listen to the songs, I imagine driving around in a cozy sweater or a leather jacket and admiring the leaves change color and the coolness of the air.”
